Outstanding performance by BFCET students Won overall Runner-up Trophy at PTU Inter College Youth Festival

Baba Farid College of Engineering & Technology won overall Runner-Up Trophy by achieving positions in various events of PTU Inter College Zonal Youth Festival held at LLRIET, Moga. The Students of BFCET set the victory ball rolling by participating with a great enthusiasm and gusto in various cultural events.

More than 20 Engineering colleges of Bathinda, Malout, Moga, Muktsar, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Barnala and Mansa participated in this festival. Sidhant (ME 3rd Sem) got first position in Poster Making, Apurva (IT 3rd Sem) bagged first position in Elocution. The College also won gold Medals in Bhangra and Mime competitions. Manpreet Kaur (ECE 3rd Sem) and Ranu Mishra (IT 7th Sem) also stood second in Poem Recitation & Mimicary respectively while Phankar Sharma (CSE 5th Sem) stood second in Punjabi Folk Song & Light Vocal Indian. BFCET won Silver Medals in Play, Skit and Group Song Indian also. The students of BFCET bagged 4 gold and 7 silver medals in 11 events and glory the name of college.

Er. Manish Goyal, Principal, BFCET applauded and congratulated the winners of various events. He added that BFCET always tries to explore hidden talent in their students and good response is given by our students.

S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, BFGI, appreciated the students for participating in such events and congratulated the winners. He also told that before this success BFCET has also achieved excellent academic results. 4 students of BFCET got listed in PTU merit List, namely Amritpal Kaur from Civil Engg. Branch & Sunny Kumar from IT Branch has scored 4th and 8th merit positions. Students of B.Tech.Civil Engg. of batch 2008-12 namely Om parkash and Navneet Gupta also got 5th & 6th positions in merit. More than 70 students got more than 80% marks and 10 students got more than 85% marks. He congratulated and appreciated the efforts made by teachers for motivating the students & for helping them to make their bright future.
